The Club Updates & Notices

Legal Update

On June 23, 2025, the Lee County Hearing Examiner found “no violation” in the 4 zoning cases filed on behalf of the RCA against The Club.  The hearing transcript and hearing examiner orders are linked to on this site.

Also linked are the settlement documents entered into between The Club and the CDD in the litigation over the CDD’s Operations and Maintenance Assessments.  Per the agreements, the Club has been reimbursed with interest the entirety of the Operations and Maintenance assessments paid to the CDD in 2023 and 2024 (more than $270,000), and the CDD also has agreed to pay $100,000 of The Club’s attorneys’ fees.  The CDD has agreed to abandon and invalidate the methodology that was used to justify the Operations and Maintenance assessment against The Club.

Concert Renaissance Has Requested Meeting with RCA

Concert Renaissance has requested that the Renaissance Community Association (RCA) meet in person to formally discuss their latest proposal on the cost of new pavers and a gatehouse roof. While Concert Renaissance is under no obligation contractually to cover any cost for this initiative, we are willing to discuss doing so in the interest of being good neighbors. We also wish to discuss RCA catching up on $150,000 of maintenance payments due to Concert Renaissance, dating to February 2024. We believe we can work through any outstanding issues with the RCA, but need to first sit down together at the table to positively move forward in our discussions.

How The Club at Renaissance Operates as a Private Club

Our focus is to remain good neighbors and stewards for The Renaissance Club for many years to come. It is our sincere hope that a positive step in that direction would be to resolve any issues with the RCA.

The Club at Renaissance is focused on the following mandates:

  • Delivering exceptional service and quality for all Members at the Club
  • Reaching a set of agreements surrounding the issues at hand.

We have made a very generous offer to the HOA Board to resolve these issues, as well as to meet directly in good faith.

In the links below are documents that spell out our outreach; the RCA’s response; and the proposals we have made to reach an agreement that completely settles this matter in a positive way.

The Club at Renaissance looks forward to RCA joining us in a discussion and agreement that is fair and amicable to both parties.
